On January 25, 2025, the Tacoma Refugee Choir invites our community to come together and lift our voices to inspire welcoming and peace in our region and beyond. This gathering is about human connection, amplifying the voices of immigrants and refugees, and fostering deep community understanding. Performances by Tacoma Refugee Choir, LQ Lion Dance, Tasneem Amir, Tacoma Dance Studio, Umunezero, and more! Also featuring guest speakers Tsishiku Henry (Worldwide for Refugee), Melannie Denise Cunningham (2018 Greater Tacoma Peace Prize Laureate), Aimee Khuu (Tacoma Community House), and Mayor Victoria Woodard!
More than a concert, this rally represents a collective commitment to breaking down barriers, celebrating diversity, and building bridges of empathy and support. Attendees will engage with community organizations, participate in interactive exhibits, and contribute to a collaborative vision of inclusive community.
